Costa Rica- translated from the Spanish literally means, “rich coast.” But for visitors wanting to explore this heaven on earth, it offers a wide variety of natural beauty, majestic green covered mountain views, friendly smiles from the locals, and so much more.
Adventure is always possible whether you are a senior seeking a photographic extravaganza or a honeymoon couple wanting to explore swimming under a waterfall and view tropical birds from your window suite. Let’s not forget the mud volcano in Rincon de la Vieja National park where you’ll be able to view boiling mud putting on a show with slow emerging and disappearing hot dirt “bubbles”. Then again, there is Horseback riding through scenic terrain of mountains covered with thick green tropical vegetation dotted with toucans and birds of every color.
Diverse Vacation Options
A Damar Travel planned vacation could range from the serene staying at stunning hotels carved into the terrain with lush mountain views. Let’s not forget your opportunity to visit egg laying turtles in Tortugueuro National Park in the Caribbean, or to Las Baulas National Park in the pacific coast. On the other hand, there is plenty of Action Packed Vacations filled with super adventures by going on zip lines,or high line walks in the trees natural canopy above the forest floor. If you ever wanted a “bird’s eye view” this is your time. Costa Rica is your perfect destination! “Diverse” is one of the best words to describe this country of awesome natural beauty, showcasing many of natures most unusual animals such as the so called “Jesus Christ” lizard who is able to run on top of water, blue herrons, bats and howler monkeys who voices sounds like barking dogs! (Thus, the name of Howler!) As a visitor you could possibly see rocks “come to life” covered by thousands of camouflaged colored bats that when they move, it appears that the rock is constantly changing it’s living exterior. Costa Rica is rich with thousands of diverse vegetation and native flora ranging from rain forest ferns to endemic native cacti (that’s plural for cactus.) Damar Travel would not recommend Costa Rica as a “ beach type of resort”. Although one of the best one’s we believe with the closest on site beach proximity is the Rui Hotel and Resort.
The "Rainy Season"
The "rainy season" for Costa Rica approximately from May to Mid November so that is certainly something to consider when planning to visit this destination. If your schedule only works for that time of year remember a few pointers- locals respectfully call the “rainy season” the “green season” since it’s the most lush, garden time of the year with everything growing to new heights due to the constant humidity! Although you might receive some lower rates on excursions, some of the rugged roads could also be impassable due to the heavy water works.
